CHARACTERISTIC OF 21ST CENTURY ASSESSMENT

                Assessment in learning 2 focuses on how to assess process and product outcomes. Here are the characteristics of 21st century assessment:


1. RESPONSIVE

                A performance-based activity aims to collect or have feedback in accordance to the objective and result. In responding to the assessment, one should be relevant.


2. FLEXIBLE

                The assessment should be fit to the learner’s environment and this assessment is more on activities; letting student to learn or able to do variety of things in different subject.

                The assessment focuses on how the teacher can exchange information, ideas, or knowledge to their student. It utilizes assessment information for the better understanding and improve learning.

                The assessment uses variety of teaching techniques or strategies. Authentic and performance based assessment is being highlighted here. Students will work on different activities, projects and presentation.


6. COMMUNICATED

                Communication of assessment data is transparent for all stakeholder. Teacher’s and parent’s relationship is being emphasize for the update and improvement of every student. Also, the school system posted the results of every assessment for the students to know their results.

                Assessment should be presented with precision to avoid mistakes in interpreting results and using all the skills of the 21st century generation.

                     This assessment enhancing the learners ability by improving the strategies, techniques or system of teaching.
